It’s been a while since I’ve last posted and I don’t really want to get into details as to the reason of my blogging hiatus. I’ve already mentioned how busy I have been with thesis for the past weeks and I’m getting tired of it already. Seriously. I mean come on, it’s March already. It’s about time I get wasted on alcoholic beverages already (speaking of which I’ve been dying to have Mimosas but I don’t exactly know where to get some here in the Metro. Help?). I hereby swear to get me a cocktail of some sort as a little treat after we finally submit our thesis and after our PhySci finals. That’s a pinky promise.
Anyway, I titled this post “Transitional” because I think this is the starting point to transitioning my style into something darker, more mature but nonetheless fun, and a lot less girly. I just figured that I’m turning 20 years old this year and I haven’t really experimented much on my clothing. I want to try being more risqué. I’ve also been inspired by urban fashion lately. Whenever I’m not doing stuff for school, I’d read articles about the whole Chrihanna (Chris Brown + Rihanna) relationship. Apparently, they’re getting back together. It’s such a shame because I really liked Chris’ ex-girlfriend Karreuche. I think she’s so cute and her style’s really unique. I’d love to get my hands on a few pieces from The Kill, her joint venture with CB. I’ll find a way to get me a cap or a jacket soon. I just don’t think they’d be shipping outside of the U.S, though.
What I wore to another day of stress:
My friend Genevieve, (LOL) offered to take my photos and my friend Maika, did all the creative directing. It was so funny how both of them dragged me everywhere and to the most unusual areas too! Nonetheless, the pictures all turned out pretty good, don’t you think? Love my new style crew!
Love this photo personally!
My super rad necklace is from Apostrophe, that cute little store with all the Audrey Hepburn stuff. I normally wouldn’t wear gold and silver at the same time but I couldn’t resist buying this piece.
These gorgeous peep-toes are from Topshop. Got them at a discount for only a thousand and two hundred bucks! Lucky huh? They were the last ones for my size and I begged the attendant to hold it for me for two days. They don’t normally allow that but I guess the lady saw how much I wanted it. Thank you so much ate Topshop! I promise to always buy at that Topshop branch only :3
So stoked for my urban transformation! So stoked for summer vacay as well! Stay tuned 😉

We’ve been out of school youths for three days and it felt so good to relax from all the schoolwork that welcomed us this new year (Though there haven’t been much, really lol). I think we deserved those three days because this is where war starts. Yes, thesis topics were finally approved today and we’ve got to get cracking. So, yesterday, I went to Greenbelt to pick up a pair of pumps I had reserved from Topshop hihi. I was so happy to get a pair of peep toe pumps with glittery heels at 70% off, baby! Yes, 70% off. Lucky huh? I promise to post them soon. After that, I met up with my friend/photographer forever, Tal, for some Italian ice cream, coffee, and a good time at Caffe Ti Amo. Too bad I didn’t get to sit on their rocking chair. I always dreamed of sitting on it. I dunno, I guess I think it’d make me feel like a queen lol. Oh well, may be next time, then.
What I wore:
Very chill ensemble for a very chilly day…
Monochromatic arm candy! Bracelets from my cousin, Greenhills and The Jewelry Boulevard. I urge you to check their shop out. Very cool finds at equally cool prices.
The ring’s from The Jewelry Boulevard as well hihi
Outfit close up!
Denim jacket from American Eagle Outfitters, Printed tank top from Mango, Leggings from some tiangge, Tote from Michael Kors
Excuse my very pink flats… So maarte. eeeewww LOL

My mint chocolate chip and cheesecake gelato along with my tiramisu frappe… Heaven
Tal’s dark chocolate frappe. Isn’t it weird how we both got ice blended beverages although the weather was chilly?

Wednesday was such an eye-opener to me. I usually don’t pay much attention to my NSTP class. I’d usually just wait ever so patiently (And difficult, it is) for the three hours to go by so I can finally get on with life. But this particular session touched my heart. Our topic in class was “social responsibility” and so we watched a few videos showing different contemporary heroes taking risks and devoting their hearts for the betterment of their fellow men. I was especially touched by CNN hero, Narayanan Krishnan’s story. Imagine a guy, a well-renowned chef at a five star hotel, living the life, but suddenly gives up his job and dedicates his skill and his heart to feeding the poor. “I saw a very old man eating his own human waste for food. It really hurt me so much. I was literally shocked for a second. After that, I started feeding that man and decided this is what I should do for the rest of my life”. I think that statement says it all. It’s really heart-crushing to see people on the streets, with nowhere to go, no food to relieve their hunger and not even a single person who cares for them. We stop for a second and are crushed by the sight, but after that, we move on with life as if we didn’t see anything. I’m actually guilty of this. I can’t even bear to look at these people. Maybe because a part of me wants to do something yet another part’s asking how. Yet people like Narayanan Krishnan braved all the uncertainty and did what was right. I was greatly inspired after our class. And to top it off, we watched the very much talked about film adaptation of Victor Hugo’s masterpiece, Les Miserables, later in the evening. I’ve never appreciated a musical as much as I loved this movie. I’m deeply grateful to our school for sponsoring and having us all watch it.
So, this was what I wore that day…
My new closet staple. I love how this skirt is body-hugging and how it falls just above the knee. Not too short nor too long.
printed tank – Artwork
bondage skirt – Forever 21
bag – Topshop
My tribal necklace is from Yhansy
Les Miserables is a must watch! I am not exaggerating at all. If you haven’t seen it yet, go. Now
We waited six hours after our class to watch the movie. It was worth all the pains of waiting, though.

Bet you were all expecting the excessively worn statement tee with the famous S branded right on the middle, weren’t you? Unfortunately I had another Superman rendition in mind. Everyone’s enamored by the handsome, villain-bashing hunk that is Superman but I think his civilian secret identity is missing out on all the love. I think Clark Kent is undeniably the perfect example to the popular phrase, “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. Plus I think his whole introverted and mild-mannered personality makes him all the more interesting. Oh and I totally dig his geek chic look, don’t you? Thus the outfit I wore to a little reunion with our friend, Tricia.
Tricia and her guy…hihi
We had a VERY late lunch at Burger Bar in Greenbelt
My Clark Kent-inspired outfit LOL Plus it was kind of humid that day (Very typical Manila weather) so I thought a crisp White shirt would be comfortable
Wore my “hairy” charmed loafers from So Fab. Very versatile. In fact, it’s so versatile I wear them with my school uniform. Daily.
White button-up from Kamiseta
High-waisted shorts from Freeway
Bag from Topshop
Happy Weekend to all of you! 😀
