Starting a new post feels so weird especially after being gone for quite a while. Nonetheless, here I am once again, staring at the same “new post” page. Summer has drifted along rather quickly. I didn’t even have the chance to document my outfits for the past weeks considering the fact that I have worn a lot of great ones, mind you. LOL Such a shame! Anyway, I’ve been busy with the project I’ve mentioned on my last post. It has thought me quite a number of valuable lessons not only to be applied for future work reference, but also life lessons as well. This project may not seem to be a success in our eyes but a lot of people enjoyed it. To them, it is a success and I guess that’s what’s important. I have learned the value of holding back to make way for other people. In this industry, what people say is reality. Looking back at lessons from our Marketing classes, it is true that “perception is reality”. Anyway, blah blah blah more about my wonderful day and of course my outfit. LOL It’s been a while since I woke up just so I can do absolutely nothing. What fun! But then it got boring so I went to watch Fast and the Furious 6 with two of my favorite people in the world.
Serenitea to pass the time. Not a big fan of milk tea though…
yoohoo spot my tattoo LOL
my cousin, Sam and our friend, JAMAL… LOL I mean Gemeile
Couldn’t wait till the upcoming beach trip my parents planned…I just had to wear this top. It has ME written all over it LOL
ombre top – Keep Calm and Shop Online
ombre shorts – Bubbles
a closer look at my top… hihi I really am a mermaid, just so you know
I forgot where I got this necklace LOL Got it from some store at the Super Sale Bazaar though
clutch – Liz Claiborne
cuff – Amanda’s Closet at Glorietta 3
Gold sneakers from my bestfriend, Luisa
workin’ my tan LOL Got so burned during our event…Been hustlin’ under the harsh sun… ugh
Don’t you think it’s quite fitting to have my photos taken in the parking lot right after we watched Fast and the Furious 6? chos! Great movie all except for the ending. Though that’s my opinion based on a certain bias of mine 😛 Not spoiling what happened though. You should go watch it
So in the words of Dom Toretto, “we thank God for family, we thank God for friends, but most of all we thank God for fast cars”. That line sums up exactly how I feel after all the hard work we put into our “project”. Thankful.
So, how was your summer? 🙂
Hello again! It’s been such a long time since I posted and the feeling I’m getting right now ,as I type away is sort of like being back home after a long vacation from far away. It’s good to be back but in a way it’s kind of terrifying to face all the realities one would refuse to deal with while on vacation. So, anyway, I have not been far away for any vacation whatsoever (I wish I was though) because as a matter of fact I have been working my a** off since summer started. It’s a different kind of stress though. It’s far different from the stress school work brought you. I don’t know what to compare it with but all I know is I like it. A few of friends and I have been so busy organizing this car show on May 25, 2013. Don’t get me wrong though, I wouldn’t say that I’m very into cars because till now I would say my knowledge about cars remains to be on an amateur level;that and the fact that I do not drive at all. So, I keep on asking myself if what I’m doing is the right thing. But you know what? When someone close to you asks you to do something, you just can’t say no. Well, you can say no but it’d be very difficult. Also, I figured this would be a good application of everything I have learned about advertising. But I guess the real reason as to why I agreed to this is beyond all the opportunities this car show could possibly give me. It’s more of a sentimental reason; makes me feel connected somehow to someone who used to be a big part of my future but somehow might become someone from the past. LOL
So, moving on… We went on a little ocular visit to our event’s venue, Makati City Hall… I admit it’s a bit unusual for a car show to be held at a government office, but then again Coast 2 Coast isn’t your ordinary car show. We’ve got big plans for this brand and we won’t stop till we achieve them. More about our car show on the next posts but for now here’s what I wore:
my “turista” outfit LOL It’s been so hot lately here in the Metro, don’t you agree? Ugh
neon yellow and gold necklace from my friend, Tricia
Tribal-inspired tank top from Artwork
shorts from Greenhills
Gold sneakers from my friend, Lui
Cap – Polo by Ralph Lauren
outfit post muna while on the job…
Made our way to The Collective at Malugay St. in Makati to check it out for our event’s photo shoot. Indeed, we used the place for the shoot less than a week ago…
The place is definitely a haven for any artistic soul. Various graffiti artwork filled the place. We thought it suited our event’s theme perfectly.
Many thanks to my photogs for the day and for the rest of summer, probably LOL Lui and Muj
One last push…And I’m done with this semester!!!! WOOHOOOOO! Happy days are here again! Trust me, how I’m feeling right now isn’t even half of how the previous statement sounded like. It’s a feeling so indescribable I can’t put myself together to possibly expressing it into words. That’s because no word ever written or even thought about can even describe this feeling. WAAAAAH! asdfghjkl… Anyway, the photos below were taken a week ago by my good friend and my new protegee, Jenni Ginete HIHI! She deserves something cute for all the hard work she puts into taking my photos despite being all stressed out from school. Soon, Jenni, soon! Any way I was talking about mixing and changing up my style a bit and here’s my second attempt. It’s a working progress and it isn’t much to be proud of…YET. I am so stoked to shop for a new wardrobe. Have you guys been to Stradivarius and Bershka at Glorietta 2? They’ve got a lot of rad pieces and I’ve got my eyes on a few already. I can’t wait! (Forgive me for another terribly short post. Everything seems so rushed lately, like everything around me just keeps on moving very fast and I have to keep up and move just as fast. I promise to post a lenghty post very soon)
These round sunnies from Lui have become an essential for my everyday look. I don’t know I just get so lazy to look for other sunnies in my stash that’d look good with a particular outfit. These just go along with anything.
My sick top is from Seventh Street My gold chains are from Forever 21 Watch is from Aldo Rings are from Freeway and my friend, Tricia
Okay, I’m off to finish some stuff for school now… LAST PUSH, BABY! Au Revoir and Happy Summer Vacation!!!
It’s been a while since I’ve last posted and I don’t really want to get into details as to the reason of my blogging hiatus. I’ve already mentioned how busy I have been with thesis for the past weeks and I’m getting tired of it already. Seriously. I mean come on, it’s March already. It’s about time I get wasted on alcoholic beverages already (speaking of which I’ve been dying to have Mimosas but I don’t exactly know where to get some here in the Metro. Help?). I hereby swear to get me a cocktail of some sort as a little treat after we finally submit our thesis and after our PhySci finals. That’s a pinky promise.
Anyway, I titled this post “Transitional” because I think this is the starting point to transitioning my style into something darker, more mature but nonetheless fun, and a lot less girly. I just figured that I’m turning 20 years old this year and I haven’t really experimented much on my clothing. I want to try being more risqué. I’ve also been inspired by urban fashion lately. Whenever I’m not doing stuff for school, I’d read articles about the whole Chrihanna (Chris Brown + Rihanna) relationship. Apparently, they’re getting back together. It’s such a shame because I really liked Chris’ ex-girlfriend Karreuche. I think she’s so cute and her style’s really unique. I’d love to get my hands on a few pieces from The Kill, her joint venture with CB. I’ll find a way to get me a cap or a jacket soon. I just don’t think they’d be shipping outside of the U.S, though.
What I wore to another day of stress:
My friend Genevieve, (LOL) offered to take my photos and my friend Maika, did all the creative directing. It was so funny how both of them dragged me everywhere and to the most unusual areas too! Nonetheless, the pictures all turned out pretty good, don’t you think? Love my new style crew!
Love this photo personally!
My super rad necklace is from Apostrophe, that cute little store with all the Audrey Hepburn stuff. I normally wouldn’t wear gold and silver at the same time but I couldn’t resist buying this piece.
These gorgeous peep-toes are from Topshop. Got them at a discount for only a thousand and two hundred bucks! Lucky huh? They were the last ones for my size and I begged the attendant to hold it for me for two days. They don’t normally allow that but I guess the lady saw how much I wanted it. Thank you so much ate Topshop! I promise to always buy at that Topshop branch only :3
So stoked for my urban transformation! So stoked for summer vacay as well! Stay tuned 😉

This was from last Saturday as my friends and I ended another stressful week of deadlines, job interviews, and what not. First of all, I am terribly sorry for having nothing but stress and work to mention in my posts. Apparently, that’s how life is for me right now. I do hope to start posting more about fun, exciting things. But for the mean time, bear with me as I have nothing but stress, stress, and more stress written all over my agenda.
Nicole, Jenni, Tal, and I had a nice little tea party (if you’d call it that) at Café Mary Grace last Saturday. It was pretty surprising of my friends to be splurging on our “tambayan” since we usually just stick to Big Chill ’cause it’s well…cheap, to be blunt. But don’t get me wrong, even if it costs us less to hang out at Big Chill, we still end up paying for more since we buy more because the food and the drinks are cheaper than any other place in Greenbelt (Well except for A-Gantea. But we stopped hanging out there ’cause we’re just all so sick of milk tea already and Aey’s on friggin’ diet). So anyway, Mary Grace it was and we loved how cozy the ambience was. We hung out at Mary Grace the day before also, right after our Job fair. Nicole, Tal, and I tried their Mexicana Tsokolate which is hot chocolate infused with cinnamon and chili. Yes. Chili. It was actually pretty good for me but I don’t reckon it is for all taste buds since it gives off a weird after taste which reminds me of Mediterranean food. It’s a must try for every adventure-seeking tongue. Anyway, the only reason I wanted to hang out at Mary Grace was because of their lemon squares. I could eat them all day, everyday, I swear. I got my boyfriend’s mother a box for her birthday and I kinda felt bad that I didn’t get myself a box as well… LOL So, yeah… We spent a lazy Saturday afternoon at Mary Grace sipping on raspberry iced tea and munching on sweets. It’s moments like these that make life seem so much brighter despite all the stress that comes along.
- I wore a simple casual peplum top with skinny jeans since I had a date with Chavs after my rendezvous with friends. I make it a point to be as simple as I can be whenever I am going to see him since he makes such a fuss over my clothing 😐
Nevertheless I think my outfit was quite fitting for “high tea”
peplum top – Betty at SM Girls and Teen’s Wear
skinny jeans – Citizens of Humanitywedge – So Fab
peplum top – Betty at SM Girls and Teen’s Wear

This is what great afternoons are made of. Looking forward to more afternoons with the girls (Aey and Mina included naman lol)

You know that feeling when you think you’ve accomplished something really big but it was just a dream? Or when you get through this very difficult level in a video game and the power suddenly goes out and you did not save the game? Sucks huh? Well, that’s exactly what happened to us. We all got major stressed out because everyone thought theses were supposed to be submitted by Wednesday. My partner and I pulled off an all-nighter finishing our thesis without recommended revisions from our professor since she wasn’t even replying to our email. So, we ended up just working things out, finishing the papers and printing them out just in time for submission. And we were so happy once the department stamped on our thesis to verify them receiving it on that day. It was like this huge burden got lifted up from our backs by some helpful giant or something. That was why we spent the rest of the afternoon doing absolutely nothing. But came Thursday and we found out that our professor sent us revisions at about 3 AM and boy, did we have much to revise. Also, theses were due by Friday NOT Wednesday. It was back to work for us trying to beat the deadline yet again (not to mention we wasted so much ink and so many papers for our first submission). Don’t you just hate it when that happens?? UGH! Anyway, we got through that hell of a week and another hell of a week shall start again. It’s a good thing we had this long weekend to unwind and just not worry about deadlines. Ah, the life of a college junior! I’m so excited to get everything done already!
What I wore on that very disappointing day:
Don’t you just love the crochet and tulle details on my cardigan? They add an element of surprise to the classic black cardi Black cardigan – Pink Manila Red floral mini dress – thrifted (from a friend)
Collar/bib necklace – A gift from Lui
Rings – both from Forever 21
Lakas pa ng loob ko pumose-pose at mag red lipstick… Kala ko tapos na ang stress… >.<
All photos taken by my new photographer-in-training: Jenni Ginete LOL
So, how are you guys handling the pre-summer vacation stress?
First of all, I beg you for the delay. We’ve been so busy with thesis and other sh*t lately we don’t even have the time to breathe anymore. But it’s stress like this that builds up good character, I reckon. But I won’t deny the fact that I am getting tired and all I want now is a tall glass of Gimlet and 12 hours of sleep. No worries though because summer’s just around the corner. For the mean time feast your eyes on my colorfully girly (bleh) outfit a couple of weeks back:
told you my outfit’s so gay… Dunno what came to me that day… Anyway, it’s a good color combo and I really wanted to wear my pink pointed toe heels
Don’t you just immediately remember robort unicorn attack because of my top? Hihi or Nyan cat! Lol
DIMSUM! My forever photographer Tal and I had Chinese for lunch since it was the eve of the Lunar New Year. We thought it to be fitting. And because we were the only ones who went to school since our friends all cut class :)) I love my one on one dates with Tal :)) We always end up splurging on good food
Tested out Macky’s prime lens at Garage 14 after my dimsum date with Tal
top – Pink Manila
gold layered necklace – Forever 21
mint green jeans – Forever 21
pink pointed toe heels – Australian
